Never enough time

Why is it there seems to never be enough time to get things done. Sorry Sue but you are going to have to stay in a dusty house...won't have time to get that done before tomorrow night. After working 13 hours between two jobs I get home and just don't have the ambition to clean. I won't be able to this weekend as it is Womens Weekend and will be busy with that...plus I have laundry to do! It will get done...just not when I want it to get done.

Had a great weekend!

Ended up having the 4th of July weekend off at Hidden Creek so I was able to have some fun this weekend.

Started off that since we have enough employees with the radio station we were able to split up and do two parades on Saturday. A majority of the group went to the Austin parade and Jerry, Ron and I went to Blooming Prairie where I saw Phyllis and Pat and gave them a big handful of candy and saw Nikki and Philip and gave her a "Philip" Swatter with the Power 96 Logo on it. After the parade went to Belinda's and had some grilled chicken, hot dogs and potato salad (and beers)and since it rained we skipped the fireworks and went straight to Eddie's Bar. We could hear the fireworks outside but decided to keep drinking our beverages. My friend Jeff showed up and joined us for drinks and then Ron and his wife showed up also. They always have kaoroke so we got to hear some people sing well...some not so well. One girl sang Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson while another guy was dancing all over the place like he was Michael...and actually was pretty good. He got a roar of applause when he was finished. Closed the bar up at 2am, dropped Belinda off at home and I came home and crashed. Sunday all I did was laundry and relax before a week filled with work, work, work!

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July weekend!

Fun in June

I know it's been awhile since I have blogged so I figured I should at least let you know what I have done for June so far...not a whole lot.

First I had a retirement party for a former worker when I was at Hormel. Phil Selmecki retired after 42 years there. He and I shared an "office" my last two years there and our favorite saying was "The Peking Duck Flys At Midnight"...that was code for when our Chinese QC Engineer Feng was coming through. If someone saw her they would call us to let us know then we would leave the office so she couldn't find us. Drove her nuts she could never find us, yet when she said we weren't there we told her "I saw you by the East Line around 1030, didn't know you were looking for me." She never caught on. Anyways, got to see quite a few people I hadn't seen since I left.

The other thing was Kelli and Molly came down and spent the weekend here with Alexis and I and we partook in a Pirate and Princess Cruise on the Pelican Breeze on the 20th. After that we went to Alden Morin Lake Days and they walked in the Power 96 unit for the Parade and then we watched fireworks behind Grandmas apartment.

Pictures from retirement party and Princes weekend are below.

Other than that not a whole lot new. I shall try to be better at blogging
