I swear to god last night I was ready to throw the computer out the window! I have never had so many problems uploading pictures to the blog from photobucket like I did last night. First they were too big, then they were to small and the slideshow wouldn't operate, then I tried typing a little synopis underneath and the slideshow disappeared. Finally after three hours and a lot, and I mean a lot, of swearing (quite a few "f" bombs came flying out) I gave up and just left it the way it ended up. ANYWAYS.....
The radio station had the Christmas Party on Saturday night (the 27th) at The Willows in New Richland. Food was excellent! They had the annual slideshow of pictures from the past and some from this year and a little memorial to Diane. Of course it wouldn't be a party without the bloopers! Whether it is one of the production people or the client recording everything is saved and some of them end up on the blooper reel. The best one was an ad that was done for one of the sales people who had an for a furniture place and was to promote a "sofa king" product. Leave it to our guys to put together a "gag" ad and when played for the sales person, they didn't even catch it the first time. The production guy finally had to tell her..."listen again very carefully". They played that on the blooper cd and it was a riot!
Afterwards, some of us went to Eddies for drinks and karaoke. Jill was home for the weekend so I called her at her sister-in-laws and she came down for a couple of drinks too. Don't get to see her very often but was glad we were able to see each other for a few hours. Well people were getting up to sing and said it was my turn. I apparently surprised my co-workers. I heard someone say "Damn girl you got some lungs". It ended up being a very fun night....we need to do that more often.
Tomorrow night is New Years Eve and Belinda and I are going to the New Years party at Holiday Lanes. The tickets I purchased give us unlimited bowling, an array of appetizers, open bar (those were the magic words for me), a DJ and you are automatically put into a drawing to win two free tickets to Las Vegas. We figured it was something different to do.
Hope everyone has a Happy and Wonderful Holiday!

Christmas Day
First I will start with Christmas Eve. Auntie, Steph, Gary, Eric and girlfriend Fallon and I had supper at Grandmas and opened gifts. I recieved mine from Grandma last weekend when her and Auntie stopped by on their way back from the Cities and Steph opened hers at Grandmas. Since we both received beautiful "headstones" we took our pictures with them at Stephs on Christmas Day. If you notice I placed a few KISS memorobilia with mine and the rosary (even tho not catholic anymore) for effect.

Christmas Day was first spent at Janes for dinner, opened gifts and then went to Steph and Gary's and did the photo op above, played some new wii games (I totally kicked ass on ski ball..820 points is what I believe I got) and munched on hors'dourves. Eric and his girlfriend stopped by later and she brought her two-year old boy Leighton along and he played wii bowling along with Gary. He copied everything he did...and he's a cutie!
Then the weather turned nasty and started blowing and drifting so we headed home. Since most of the driving was out in open country, there were times that visibility was pretty bad. A few times I couldn't even see the lines on the side or down the middle of the road. All I can say is I hope this is the end of weather like this.
Sindi Ann Fulton RIP

Being sick sucks!
I somehow ended up with the stomach flu or something. Yesterday afternoon I started feeling stomach pains and...well you get the rest. I did manage to go the gas station in town and get some 7-UP, saltine crackers and applesauce. Feeling somewhat better now. Last time I had the flu it knocked me out for almost three days. I am hoping to get to work tomorrow.

Weekend
Well, weekend plans didn't go as planned. The weather was too bad to get up to the Cities so missed out on the Fulton Family Christmas and Graduation party for Andrea and Nichole. Sounds like those who were there had fun.
I had Alexis as she was going to go with me so she could play with Molly, but after I told her we wouldn't be going because the weather was bad she started pouting. She was so mad she wouldn't talk to Kelli or Grandma and wouldn't take her boots off. So I let her pout for awhile then realized I didn't really have anything to eat for lunch so I started up the car, brushed it off and we went to the gas station here in town and got hot dogs and chips for lunch....and cookies for later on. After that she was better and after lunch came naps. I know I slept for about three and half hours...she was up for a little bit cuz I remember her saying the movie was done and she wanted to watch it again. When I woke up she was sleeping....she slept til almost seven. She has been coughing and sniffling quite a bit so she probably needed the sleep. Before bed I slathered her chest and neck in Vicks vapo rub. We both slept in til nine am.
Grandma and Auntie might stop in on their way back for cookies and coffee, depending on the weather. My christmas party for the radio station was supposed to be last night also but has been rescheduled for next saturday. I got one of the girls at hidden creek to work for me that night so I will still be able to go.
I hope this is all we are going to get for stormy snowy weather. Merry Christmas...and God Bless Us Everyone!

Hmmmm...what did I do today
Well lets see...it was my birthday and it actually wasn't too bad. Jay Paul our morning DJ announced my birthday with all the other ones for the day and said he couldn't remember if i was going to be 29 or 30? He's the best! Then Alexis called me to say Happy Birthday and asked me if I was 29? Of course I said yes! The only downfall to the day was attending Dianes funeral but I really shouldn't say it was a downfall...it was a time to celebrate her life and how well she lived it. So I am glad I got to celebrate a part of my birthday celebrating Dianes life. After work Mom and I went to Business After Hours (it is for businesses that are members of the Chamber) and I brought along some Power 96/KQAQ Coffee mugs filled with chocolate and wrapped in shiny Christmas wrap...and I won one! I traded mugs with Grandma...she got one from Southern Magazine. After that, my best friend Belinda and I met at Applebees for what has turned into our ritual birthday dinner...in February I will take her there for hers. We sat there for two and half hours just talking after our meal.
So that was it...nothing too outrageous...last years celebration was enough for a few m0re years.

Sunday School Program
Well we had the Sunday School Christmas program this afternoon. My little troopers did awesome! We had practice this morning during Sunday School and after they did their songs all the Sunday School kids clapped for them. During the first 1/2 hour of the program we stayed int he room and watched Veggie Tales Christmas til it was our turn. They walked in with all eyes on them, got up front and sang their songs...including using sign language. They were like little Napolion Dynamites but without the "Vote for Pedro" t-shirts. The church had a sloppy joe supper afterwards but the weather started getting nasty in the afternoon so I headed home.
Brenna, Auntie and I had noon dinner at Grandmas but somewhat in reverse. The vegetables were done but the chicken wasn't so we had potatoes and broccoli and dessert around noon but the chicken we had to wait and eat until 2pm. We played some cards for a little while to kill the time.

God touched Diane
God touched Diane's hand last night and led her home. She passed away peacefully in her sleep and apparently in minimal pain. She was a great gal and will be sadly missed by her husband Greg, their kids Jessie and Joey, her father and brothers and sisters. Really can't say a whole lot more.

My new gift
This is my new diamond necklace I got from Auntie as an early birthday gift
This is with the jewelry I will get from Mom someday
Okay....so it's not a real diamond. This fall when we made our trip over to Lanesboro we were in a boutique at the Stonemill Inn and Suites and I saw this necklace there and loved it....so she bought it as my birthday present. Didn't even see her buy it...pretty sneaky.
Grandma, Auntie and I went to Whispering Oaks in Ellendale for their holiday open house via Owatonna. We were driving up there and busy chit chatting and the next thing we knew...we had gone right by the exit and we were four miles from Owatonna. Needless to say a 10 minute drive took 1/2 an hour. The trees were decorated really nice and they had soup, breadsticks, cheeses and desserts. We came back here and had goulash that Auntie had made, cookies and coffee and played a game of cards. Dishes are done, laundry is getting done and I am getting ready to watch Extreme Makeover on the DeVries new home.

This Weekend
Even though it's my weekend off from HC I have a feeling I will not get anything done. I will be leaving shortly to pick up my mentee and her brother and sister to go to the Mentor Christmas Party in Albert Lea, come back this afternoon and change and get ready to go to Alden tonight for the Lions Christmas Dinner Theatre production, then after that pick up the four V's cuz Tricia has a friends wedding dance to go to.
Tomorrow there is Sunday School in the morning and in the afternoon Grandma, Auntie and I are going to Ellendale to Whispering Oaks (an assisted living place) for their Holiday Open House and Christmas Tree Walk. They decorate 17 trees and it suppose to be really gorgeous. Plus they are an account of mine so do some PR work. Then hopefully come back in the afternoon and get some laundry done then sit down and watch Extreme Makeover about the DeVries family here in Albert Lea. Make sure to watch!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Sierra's Twin
I think I saw Sierra's twin today. I was leaving Wal Mart and I heard this dog barking in a van kitty corner (or should I say doggy corner) from my car and at first glance I swear to God it was Sierra. Same looking face, same ears, same white mark on the forehead, but the bark was much lower. Freaked me out for a second. I was almost tempted to go over and see if the dog had a black collar with rhinestones on it. If it had I really would have freaked out. Luckily when I got home I came home to Sierra standing in the kitchen with her eyes peering over the kitchen table like she just got caught doing something. Who knows what that dog does when I'm not home.

Say an extra prayer
Our traffic controller for Power 96, Diane Henderson, has been battling colon cancer for the past six months and it is finally taking a toll on her. She apparently only has days left. Say an extra prayer for her husband Greg and their daughter Jessie, who is a senior this year and their son Joey who I believe is a sophomore tonight before going to sleep. Diane is as big of fan, or bigger fan of KISS also so her and I hit it off immediately. Thank God for Hospice because they will help the family get through this. She is 41 and way too young to be taken from us, but we are taught not to question why...God always has a plan for us and we may not always understand the plan.
Needless to say, this brings back all the emotions of losing dad three years ago, but I just keep thinking of how hard this will be for Jessie and Joey losing their mom when they are at a time in life when they need her the most.
So extra prayers tonight everyone!

December Oneth!
Hard to believe it is already December 1st! I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet. Don't know what to get those on my list so it might be gift cards, even though it seems impersonal, at least they will be able to get what they want because they know what they want. I haven't even done Christmas cards yet...or maybe this year it will be a letter. Who knows! Worse case scenario....you just get an email that says Merry Christmas!

Not much
Not much has been happening since Thanksgiving. It's my weekend to work at Hidden Creek so I am pretty much doing nothing til I have to go to work. Woke up to snow this morning but am glad it wasn't feet of snow, just a few inches. Probably have more excitement during the week.

Happy Thanksgiving
Want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I am on my way to work at Hidden Creek for a few hours...helping out over the lunch hour as there are a few tenants having family members join them for dinner and that is a lot for just one person to handle. Then I will be going to Steph and Garys to eat some leftovers and maybe do some Wii. I want to get one but right now a little out of price range for me. I am also suppose to try to get to Janes for Alexis' birthday but don't know if I will make it. It's not like I never see her but I haven't been to Steph lately to either.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Mama Mia is being released on December 16th...I love that movie and think it would be a great gift. To hell with subtlety....it comes out on my birthday and I want it!

Part of the Christmas Decorations
Well, like I said, I managed to get up some of the Christmas decorations. The pencil tree that Grandma used to have is absolutelty perfect for in front of the window...and of course I have to have the annual picture in front of the tree. I usually get all four of the kids in there so hopefully I will get that sometime this year.

Cinderella Play
Took Alexis to the Cinderella play that the Albert Lea High School put on. Nothing like waiting for a play to start and hearing a four year old continuosly ask.."when is it going to start....it's so hard to wait...what's behind the curtain" Then once it started she kept asking when is she going to become Cinderella. The play was pretty good though.
Did manage to get up some of the Christmas decorations...the tree...department 56 buildings...will probably get up some of the rest tomorrow.

Dogs!
Sierra puked during the night (I think she ate her food to fast) so this morning I almost stepped in it. I got most of it picked up and laid paper towels over it to start soaking it up and now I will be on my hands and knees cleaning up dog puke. Yeah!

Bowling got a little better
Finally I did a little better at bowling. I haven't bowled in years so it takes a while to figure out - what is the correct way to hold the ball, whats the best approach, etc, etc, etc... When you watch others everyone else holds their bowling balls and approaches differently. Not one person does it the same. I think tonight I figured it out...and we won all three games! WooHoo! And we were down one person. I still think Auntie and I need to go bowling sometime and she can give me some tips.
Other than that, not much else going on. Gonna watch some TV before going to bed and then have to work at Hidden Creek Thursday and Friday night, taking Alexis to see the Albert Lea High School play Cinderella and this weekend will try to get to Austin to see my friend Sharon who is having a hysterectomy tomorrow morning. Depending on how she feels, maybe go over during the week.

What a day!
First I need to say Thank You to Janet for giving me the heads up. She knows what I'm talking about.
Went to Business After Hours with Mom. It was at the Elks and HyVee did the catering and it was fabulous! Cheeses, veggies, smoked salmon, meatballs, various chinese foods, dessert table, wine sampling, oh my god there was food! The next one is on December 16th (wonder what day that is?) at Green Lea Golf Course. Already know thats my night off at Hidden Creek so we will probably be going to that also.
After that, went to my cousin Karens for a Tupperware party and bought a pitcher and a Princess Tumbler with snack containers for Princess Alexis. She was there with Tricia and Jane and she saw those so those will be part of her birthday gift. She also saw the Mickey Mouse popsicle makers and told me to get those. Maybe next time. Of course I couldn't leave the party without doing a sales pitch. I told the consultant about the Austin Home and Vacation Show and am going to be sending her the information on that.
Other than that, it has been a long day and I am ready for bed! Later Peeps!

Becky and Nurse Patty love cops!
I had to work at Hidden Creek tonight with Becky and we had a tenant who had been at the ER. When she came back they sent her prescription with her instead of faxing it to the pharmacy to have it delivered. Nurse Patty was on her way out to HC to write up some new orders and Becky headed off to Shopko to get the prescription.
Becky gets pulled over by a cop for a headlight out and she tells the cop that a car just went by with a headlight out also and the cop said his partner was on it. Who was in the other car you ask? Patty the nurse! They both got pulled over within minutes of each other for the same thing. I was safe back at HC doing med passes and did manage to get home tonight without being pulled over.
Needless to say, with the night we had this was some great comic relief!

Night out with Mom
Mom picked me up at work at 5pm and we headed to Mason City. We ended up taking the scenic route through Northwood, Kensett, Manly and into Mason City. Went through all the country side without seeing one deer. As soon as we came into Mason City...deer right at the side of the road heading into traffic. Hit the brakes and pulled out the soccer mom arm across Grandma and luckily the truck behind us didn't hit us. I think the deer made it safe back to the side of the road. Found Papas Cafe and Sports Bar and had absolutely wonderful food.
After supper we headed to NIACC for the Lorie Line Holiday Extravaganza concert and it was fabulous. Saw lots of glitz and sequins....and that was just from some of the ladies clothes in the audience. Had really good seats and could actually watch her play the piano. She does an awesome job and puts on a very entertaining show. It was the Christmas Around the World Tour so they had outfits from Africa, Europe (even had a polka dance on stage) Asia and of course the North Pole. They had kids from the audience come onstage. They went backstage first and they had costumes already made (they went over their clothes) so kids came out as sled dogs, bears, seals, penguins, eskimos and elves. (Becky if your reading this, forget everything you just read. You're seeing the show on the 23rd) Absolutley Wonderful! The show lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Afterwards we're driving home on the interstate and came upon where Diamond Jo's Casino is and I told Grandma I hadn't been there yet. She asked if I wanted to stop...so we did. I put in $20 and came out with $49.25. In Bette terms that would be 4.925 dollars. Inside joke a few of us know. Since I came out the big winner (Grams left a nickel poorer) I told her I would buy pie and coffee. Got back to Albert Lea around 11:45 PM.
It was a very fun night. Love ya Mom!

New Passion
The next thing I have gotten hooked on is Facebook. It took me awhile to get used to and figure it out. Slowly but surely I am getting used to it and figuring how things work.
Not much else has been going on. The last two weeks of bowling have totally sucked... and that is sucked with a capital S! I think someone has put a curse on me and I know who she is. I guess I should have let her win the argument but when you're wrong and I'm right...too bad!
I must Facebook now before ER starts. Dr. Green comes back tonight!

Yeah Vikings!
Woohoo! The Vikings won over the Packers. I am sure my friend Cindy is seething...especially since it was by only 1 point.
By the end of the weekend
I am hoping by supper time tonight I will have the following things done:
1. Living room dusted, vacuumed and possibly re-arranged
2. Kitchen counters wiped down, floor swept and mopped
3. Toy room picked up and vacuumed.
4. Vacuum back hallway and computer room.
I still have to get to the back bathroom but that I will save for a night during the week. It hardly ever gets used and when I clean it, it takes less than half and hour. Everything else is a MUST!
Woke up this morning to Alexis still singing Hannah Montana. She also talks to herself while playing and I heard her say "I have to become Hannah Montanta now" and she spins herself around. For those who have not seen Hannah Montana...during the opening singing segment Miley spins in a cirlce and becomes Hannah Montana. It is hilarious just listening to her while she is playing.
The other funny thing this morning...she was eating her toast while I was getting ready and Sierra supposedly snagged one of them. Alexis came to tell me and I told her she will just have to be more careful. Shen then goes back out and says to Sierra "Ha ha I told Sindi" Kids really do say the darndest things.

Busy day so far
I had to set my alarm this morning just to make sure I got up in time to go get my hair cut at 9am. After getting my hair cut went to Alden to Grandmas and Steph met us there and then we picked up Auntie and went to the school for the craft show and lunch. Saw those crocks that Grandma got a few of the family members for their birthdays (the ones that you make eggs in). Steph got hers today so I should be getting mine next month. He He! Wasn't as many exhibitors there has there have been before but still quite a few people showed up. Grandma even won a door prize. After that, I headed back home, picked up Alexis and she is now watching Hanna Montana and I will start my cleaning.
I don't have to work at Hidden Creek tomorrow so I can spread the cleaning over two days. New girl Brittany from the Block (she grew up in New York...thats my nickname for her) is going to work. This way she can see how things are done and get to know the tenants. I think she will do just fine. I worked with her for a few hours the other night and she seems like a very nice girl. Well, I have procrastinated enough so I must get to cleaning.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Snow, snow go away
Did not really like seeing snow this morning on the ground and covering my car...but thank God we are not in North and South Dakota where they received I believe three feet or more of snow. It can stay there.
No big plans for the weekend. Getting my hair cut tomorrow morning and then picking Alexis up after that. She is going to spend the day with me while I try to clean my house, which needs it desparately. Sierra is writing me notes in the dust all over the place. Since Disney is having a Hannah Montana marathon tomorrow I figured she could watch that.
I would normally have the whole weekend off but am working Sunday 1030 am to 600 pm. The extra money helps. Thats why I am hoping I can get the whole house cleaned on Saturday. I suppose I could teach Alexis how to scrub toilets.

Bowling
Seemed like last night I couldn't hit a pin if it was five feet in front of me. I need to go in sometime during open bowling and figure out what approach and techniquie work best for me. Then watch out for me to be on the Professional Bowling Tour!

Loving the weather...

Halloween at Hidden Creek
Last night at Hidden Creek we had a little Halloween Party. We sang Pumpkin Carols before supper and afterwards some of the tenants watched the movie Hocus Pocus. I love that movie.

Ever have one of those days?
I got home from work tonight and changed into some comfy stretchy pants and a tshirt. got all the laundry sorted and started a load. Sat down on the couch to relax a little when the phone rings. Aleesha from Hidden Creek calls at 5:30 and asks me if I forgot I was working tonight. I said I don't work this Thursday cuz it's my weekend to work. She said your name is on the schedule. I'm like...what?!? I forgot that a couple of weeks ago I said I could fill in on the 5 - 9 shift. Needless to say i had to go work in the comfy stretchy pants and tshirt as I had no other clothes to wear. I think I need Namenda.

The Children's Bible in a Nutshell
My co-worker Ron game me this figuring since I taught Sunday School I would find it funny. I found it hilarious! If you would like a copy of it, let me know and I will e-mail it to you.
The Children’s Bible in a Nutshell
In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness and some gas. The bible says, “The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that. Anyway, God said, “Give me a light” and someone did. Then God made the world.
He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren’t embarrassed because mirrors hadn’t been invented yet.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God be eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden. Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn’t have cars.
Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel.
Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something.
One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him but they said they would have to take a rain check.
After Noah came Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother Esau because Esau sold Jacob for his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.
Another important Bible guy is Moses whose real name is Charlton Heston. Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh’s people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels and no cable.
God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments. These include: don’t lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor’s stuff. Oh yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother
One of Moses’ best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town.
After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son name Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn’t sound very wise to me.
After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets. One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore. There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don’t have to worry about them.
After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the star in The New Testament. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is always saying to me, “Close the door! Were you born in a barn?” It would be nice to say, “As a matter of fact, I was!”)
During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Republicans. Jesus also had twelve opossums. The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they names a terrible vegetable after him.
Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount. But the Republicans and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn’t stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.
Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

Here you go Becky
Moving up in the bowling world
I now have my own pair of bowling shoes! It costs $3 a week to rent shoes and this is a 24 week league which means I would have spent $72 just on shoe rental. They happened to have some for sale that people didn't pick up or want so I got a pair for $37. This way, anytime I go bowling I have my own...besides it's just gross thinking of how many feet were in those other shoes before I wore them.

The past few days
Man it has been awhile since I blogged. Usually I am better at this. Thank you Becky (my boss at Hidden Creek) on reminding me to keep this updated. I apparently am her entertainment.
Well the last time I blogged it was about my tooth being pulled. Glad to say I no longer have any pain but just a big gap between my two back molars.
That was Wednesday...on Friday I took Brenna, Lucas, Brady, Alexis and Lucas' friend Ty to the Mall of America and went to the Nickolodeon Universe (formerly Camp Snoopy and Park at MOA) Had a blast! The little ones had fun going on the different kiddie rides and jumping inside Spongebob's Pineapple. A few of us bigger kids had fun going on the new roller coaster Rockbottom Plunge. It was awesome!!! When you go up the first hill you are literally on your back going straight up and then going over the hill straight down and then upside down and some curly'q hills and a few spiral curves and then your done.
Well this weekend is the Power 96 Haunted Halloween Carnival at the Country Inn and Suites in Albert Lea and the AmericInn in Austin from 4-6 each day. We have businesses sponsor a room, they decorate it and pass out candy while kids go trick or treating to each room. We even have Captain Jack Sparrow there this year. Kids will be able to take their picture with him before they trick or treat. I promise there will be pictures.
Well other than that, I have bowling tomorrow night and then work at Hidden Creek Thursday and Friday night after Power 96. We just had training today from Opus on how we will be doing med passes from now on. Something about color coded boxes to go with the time of day and when the med is given. I don't remember what he said. Just kidding Becky!!!!!! Ha Ha! This is actually going to be easier..I hope.
Later peeps!

Another visit to the dentist
The pain and discomfort ended up getting worse so I called back to Dr. Bland's office this morning and they managed to squeeze me in at 10:30. He took some xrays and couldn't see on the xray what could possibly be causing the pain but said there was a gray area that shouldn't be gray. No decay either.
Well he ended up deciding to fix the tooth right then and there. So in goes some novacaine and on goes the drill. He removes the filling, takes some pictures with an ultra red camera and finds out the crack in my tooth went from front to back...the filling was hiding some of the damage. Since it was cracked that much there is no saving the tooth so in goes some more novacaine in the roof of the mouth and to the side...takes out the pliers looking thing and starts wiggling back and forth until the tooth comes out. I leave the dentist office with my tooth (hope the tooth fairy is good to me)gauze packed in my now empty socket and mouth still numb from novacaine.
He told me I shouldn't bowl tonight but I am going to give it a try. Really shouldn't be lifting anything over two pounds and with bowling you end up bending over, exerting yourself, raising your heartbeat and the socket could start bleeding again. I have extra gauze if that happens.
What fun!!!!

A Visit to the Dentist
Went to the dentist today..it has been more than a few years since I was at one last. End of last week I noticed anytime I drank or ate anything cold the upper left side was really sensitive. Called and made an appointment right away this morning when I got to work and found out I have a cracked tooth. Next Monday I have a filling put in that will hopefully take care of it. Worse case scenario....root canal.

Albert Lea Fire Department Open House
I took my mentee Breanna and her brother Jacob along with Tricia, Brenna and Alexis to the A.L. Fire Department's Open House this afternoon. We got to see where the firemen sleep and live while on duty, you could go inside the fire trucks and check them out, they had Sparky's Fire House which shows them how to escape from a fire and got to climb out the back of the house down a ladder while a fireman helped or carried the kids down. Tricia and I were jealous that we were too big to go in. They also got to hold the waterhose while shooting water into Fountain Lake. Enjoy the pictures in slideshow beneath this post.

This past weekend
My sister Sue came down for a few days this weekend. Friday night I made us supper and then we went to the Bulldog for a few cocktails. Got to hear about the owners weekend out with some friends and how she ran into Bobbi Jo and that bitch just had her on fire and she was all up in the air. Was pretty entertaining to listen to. Watching her was funnier.
On Saturday morning we went out for breakfast to Perkins where I had the mushroom and swiss omelot with hasbrowns and pancakes and Sue had the Eggs benedict with fruit and one of her muffins had mold on the bottom. They made her a fresh breakfast and still charged her for it. I think they should have comped it. Then we went to Steph's to check out their new addition and while there a delivery truck showed up. We thought it was going to be the delivery for Extreme Home Makeover but it was nothin'...just a regular order. Went out to the site where the new home is being built (pics on slideshow beneath this post) then back to Stephs for lunch and helped her get back into blogging. She had forgotten her password so we helped her get all set up with a new one and told her to start blogging her ass off.
After that, I had to work at Hidden Creek and Sue did some shopping then went to Mom's as she was able to squeeze her into her busy schedule that day. I believe she was able to pencil her in between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. Sue left this morning, I went to teach Sunday School, added to my blog then off to Hidden Creek again this afternoon.

Started bowling league tonight
Bowling league started tonight. Bowled a 150 (got a free drink for that score), 151 and a 78. Have no idea what the hell happened in the third game. Was getting tired by then. Kristi was supposed to bowl but she didn't show up so I will have to find out what happened, or take her out back and beat her up. I am now adding to my birthday/christmas list....bowling shoes and bowling ball bag. Please make note. Also I changed our names to Country Cuties as Anna said she would sponsor our team as along as each week we all wore KQAQ t-shirts. I asked the other two ladies if they were up for that and they said no problem. Will keep you updated on if I improve or not over the next 24 weeks. Hope I do.

I told her I would wait a day to let her rest and come see her tomorrow on my lunch hour. If I get a picture I will put it on here.

Went to the Pumpkin Patch
After Sunday School today I brought the 4V's back to my place, did lunch and then went to Farmer John's Pumpkin Patch to pick out pumpkins and went on a horse drawn wagon ride. Alexis kept calling it Farmer Pickles...they had pumpkins as big as her there. Other than that trying to get caught up laundry and some house cleaning. My one whole day off this weekend and I get stuck having to clean. Once I start it doesn't take long. Besides, I have to make sure I am done by eight for the new season of Desperate Housewives.

Not much
Kinda been a boring week. Haven't heard anything from Extreme Home Makeover on volunteering so I guess it is a no go...and I spent all that time at the radio station calling businesses about sponsoring ads welcoming them to town. rrrrrr!!!!!! The other night I was going to shampoo the carpet in the kids toy room and back hall way. The last time I used the carpet cleaner I decided to rinse it out really good and didn't realize that when the inside bag dried it all got sucked together and now I can't get it unstuck which means I can't use the carpet cleaner. Luckily I saved the booklet and I can get a replacement. I think I may have to get a whole new bucket...which is cheaper than getting a new carpet cleaner.
Saturday night I am taking Lucas and Brady with me to the Albert Lea Thunder hockey game. Yes we have a junior league hockey team in town. The radio station has one of the sky boxes for the game so it should be fun. I'm sure there will be pictures later on.

Our trip to Lanesboro
Mom, Auntie, my friend Belinda and I went to Lanesboro to check out a few things for next years Womens Weekend. The town does have a very quaint and charming feel about it and we drove up and down a few streets that were more like driving down an alley. Not very wide but paved.
This picture was taken from the parking lot of a Lutheran church on top of a hill.

First Day of Sunday School
Today was the first day of Sunday School and Alexis is in my pre-school class. Zak Roberts came back again this year to help out and Brenna is also my classroom helper. We had a total of four students (out of 12 or 13 on the list) that showed up. We talked about the story of Creation and how God made everything. On my computer I had printed out sheets that on the top said "God created me and these things...." They had to draw a picture of themselves and glue pictures I cut out of magazines on their papers. Everyone did an excellent job.

Canning Tomatoes
Slowly I am becoming domesticated. I tried canning tomatoes on my own last night (after making about three calls to my sister Steph to make sure I was doing something right)and I must say I did pretty good. I talked to Mom later that night and found out I forgot to bring the peeled/blended tomatoes to a boil again before putting them in the jars. Since I didn't do that I need to keep them refrigerated...next time I will remember that step.
Today was one of those days where everything and anything got on my nerves, under my skin and at any moment could have blown up and I have no reason why I was like that. It's too early for PMS but maybe that's what it was. Maybe tomorrow will be better...I'll get to sleep in a little bit.

The day with Brady
Since I mentioned earlier that I missed Brady's birthday party I decided to spend the day with him. We went to eat at Piggy Blues BBQ and I got BBQ sauce squirted all over my shirt when putting some on his sandwich so I got to buy a new one at Shopko..SNAP! (Brady said that a lot today) Then we went to Book World and I bought him a book on tractors..john deere, international harvester and callipitters (he couldn't say catepillar)then off to mini golf...not the faciest but he had fun.

A frog decided to join our game

I'm surprised they don't have this in the Olympics yet.

My little Oasis...
Hard to believe that I have managed to keep these plants alive. The big one I got from my friends when dad passed away, there is a cactus flower plant I got from my sunday school helper this last year and the other is known as jacobs coat. I replanted all of them into different pots and they are still alive. I must have done it right. The jacobs coat I will have to replant again at some time as it will grow taller. Well...off to get ready for the day. My nephew Brady is here. I am taking him out for his birthday lunch (two weeks late) and then to play some mini golf. There may be pics later.
Here I am...
It's about four o'clock in the morning and I have managed to stay awake while working at Hidden Creek...and I didn't get a nap in before coming to work. I have managed to get the kitchen garbages emptied, cardboard boxes from the kitchen broken down, mopped the kitchen floor, cleaned up the dining room floor, have the tables set for breakfast, have cereals and bread out for breakfast, laundry finished and I am now ready for bed! I don't do this shift very often so I have maybe missed a few things that should get done but I got the major things done. Two more nights of this...hope I can do it.

All of this for a needle prick...
Saturday night when I was working at Hidden Creek I accidentally pricked myself with a lancet after a tenant had checked their blood sugar. Went through my glove too. So I filled out an incident report, called the nurse and she said I would have to have a blood test done to check for HIV, HBV and all the Hepatitis's. So today I go to the clinic and have to go to the ER for the blood test (all needle pricks go through the ER) and I swear the tech filled about four or five little viles. Then I had to go to the clinic's second floor for a drug screening...making sure I'm not on anything...and I had to use a specific bathroom, they put blue dye in the toilet and turned the water off so you couldn't flush it, then they bring you in soap when you're finished to wash your hands and throw away the paper towels in a waste basket in the hall as they are not allowed in the bathroom. Then we proceed back to a little room (where I had to leave my purse) to initial that the numbers and code on the paper work match the label on my vials of pee and initial those. Needless to say this is the first time in the two and a half years I have worked there that this has happened and I am damn sure going to make sure it doesn't happen again!

I can't believe I didn't have these in here earlier. I met Gene Simmons of KISS in June 2007 and Marion Ross (she grew up in Albert Lea) for a second time just this past June. The ACT Theatre was renamed the Marion Ross Center for Performing Arts. The picture of Marion is fuzzy cuz a guy I work with took the picutre and he must have moved his hand when taking it.

Tried a new variation of Lasagna
I was hungry for Lasagna but then realized I didn't have lasagna noodles. Everything else for lasagna but the noodles. I had a box of Rigatoni noodles so I used them instead. I browned my pound of hamburger with onions and stirred in a large jar of spaghetti sauce. In my 9x13 baker i put a little over half of the sauce in bottom, the box of Rigatoni, my sour cream and cottage mixture, more sauce and then mozzarella chese. Covered with foil and baked for one hour at 350 degrees, took foil off and baked another 20 minutes. Rachel Ray eat your heart out!

Relay for Life
Went to the Relay for Life with Mom and Auntie. I found Dad's luminary that Mom made and the one I made for Diane (a lady I work with at the station....same age as me and has colon cancer...and is also a KISS fan!) but Auntie and I couldn't find the one Mom made for her. I told her we were looking to hard for it. These are the pictures I took...not the greatest but you get the feeling.
